• Rwanda - DR Congo (1994 to present, not over)

"There's still fighting between Congo and Rwanda - so that ceasefire has never really held," says Margaret MacMillan (BBC)

• Thailand - Cambodia (less than a week, ceasefire)

On 7 August, Thailand and Cambodia reached an agreement aimed at reducing tensions along their shared border. (BBC)

• Armenia - Azerbaijan (nearly 40 years, actually them)

"The leaders of both countries said Trump should receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts in securing a peace deal, announced at the White House on 8 August." (BBC)

• Egypt - Ethiopia (what war?)

There was no "war" here for the president to end, but there have long been tensions over a dam on the River Nile... No formal deal has been reached between Egypt and Ethiopia to resolve their differences. (BBC)

• Serbia - Kosovo (again, what?)

"Serbia and Kosovo haven't been fighting or firing at each other, so it's not a war to end," Prof MacMillan told us. (BBC)

This might come as a surprise to you but sometimes Trump lies a little bit.

I think he's referring to every time Israel has agreed to a ceasefire under his watch.

My theory is he has a bunch of war movies in his watch list and the 8 he ended were just the ones he watched.

I'd be interested to see a list of statements the man's made that are true.

I suspect it'd be a short one.

He is pulling stuff out of his asshole.

Some people suggest india pak "skirmish". I am an indian, and it was neither war, and us did nothing.

I am not going into why skirmish happened, and not taking any sides here (for pakistan or for india), so i do not come out biased.

We heard "trump did something" 2-3 days after there was a cooldown. And no indian govt official has ever agreed to trumps claims.

on the other hand (some may claim i am biased against pak gov here, specifically millitary), us has always been interested in pak (they got into afghanistan from pak, they kinda want to do that again).

I have nothing but love for general pak public, we are same people, mostly are mutually intelligible, and got divided mostly because brits and some "religious" leaders (from both sides) did not like the other side.
