An absolute trip of an album as the name would imply. I have a good story to go with this, too. My friend was a promoter and happened to be working one of these shows of theirs. He gifted me the album along with one of their t-shirts.

Since I had their collection digitally, I never got the urge to open this copy. I was curious one day and looked it up. Turns out it’s quite the rare bird and I’m not the only one who enjoys their rare flavor of sound.

I’ve been a fan of their sound from the first time a friend recommended I listen to “Deeply Disturbed”, specifically the Infect Remix 15 years ago. I don’t know if there’s some dimensional rift going on, but I’ve met very few people who know their music. And yet, the few people that I’ve met that do know them have been listening for as long as I have.

It’s strange. They’ve been making music for longer than Deadmau5 or Daft Punk, consistently doing new and interesting stuff, and they’ve barely made a dent on the map. They’ve even done several big collabs, but they just don’t seem to catch the fame. Their concert tickets are usually really affordable, too as a result, which is always nice.

I used to like them but they're Zionists soooo that's kinda tainted the whole thing

Thankfully it doesn’t come through their sound. I’ve all but given up trying to keep track of the public image of artists. I just don’t actually care as the consumer. Me not listening to someone won’t stop them continuing to do their thing and if they make good art, I’m not going to rob myself of that because an artist is a fuckhead.

I won’t punish myself for others’ shitty takes.

I also enjoy Infected Mushroom. They hit a good balance between Daft Punk and some heavier metal riffs. I sometimes put on something like Legend of the Black Shawarma to get my ADHD ass to focus on work. If they're still touring and their shows are affordable then I should really keep an eye out for the next time they're in town.

Man i love legend of the black shawarma. Best album they made imo.
And converting 2 was imo their last good album. Regardless, this is all some good shit and i love seeing other infected fans

l also basically have most of their stuff, but only digital copies.
Accidentally discovered them almost 20 years ago on emusic (before it become shitty especially for European customers).
I am normally not that much into electronic music, but got instantly hooked and used up several months worth of my emusic credits to download their whole catalog.
Still a big part of my work soundtrack today.
