Published in the American Journal of Psychiatry, the study found that people who smoked high-potency cannabis drank 27 percent less alcohol, while those on a weaker strain drank 19 percent less, compared to a placebo joint. Participants also waited longer to take their first drink, suggesting cannabis might slow-roll the urge to chase a buzz with another buzz.

This used to work for me but I started a new adhd medication and now I binge drink. Have to probably quit drinking, and the only way I can consume thc is tinctures

Back before any states legalized, I remember seeing Anheuser-Busch lobbying hard against it. They knew any step towards legal marijuana would threaten their top dog status.

High on weed? Maybe. High on speed? Absolutely not. That made me spend 2 days drinking several pints of water an hour because I felt dried up.
