Welcome to The Shitpost Office

Shitposts processed from 9 to 5, with occasional overtime on weekends.

Rule 1: Be Civil, Not SinisterTreat others like fellow employees, not enemies in the breakroom.

  • No harassment, dogpiling, or brigading
  • No bigotry (transphobia, racism, sexism, etc.)
  • Respect people’s time and space. We’re here to laugh, not to loathe

Rule 2: No Prohibited PostageSome packages are simply undeliverable. That means:

  • No spam or scams
  • No porn or sexually explicit content
  • No illegal content
  • NSFW content must be properly tagged

If you see anything that violates these rules, please report it so we can return it to sender. Otherwise? Have fun, be silly, and enjoy the chaos. The office runs best when everyone’s laughing.... or retching over the stench, at least.

Sometimes when people say they used ChatGPT to do some creative writing for them, I'm like "That's like telling me you used a coal-powered machine to lift weights for you at the gym. You're missing the point."

But I guess some people go to the gym for reasons other than personal fitness, and some people don't write to be creative.

I might have pissed off a senior tech who sent me Google's summary of why some unexpected action was occurring.

The summary missed the point of what was happening, and suggested to look in irrelevant places to resolve it.

I researched the issue myself, found a few red herrings that may have both been bad generated text pasted as solutions in Microsoft's answers they seemed to support these answers. The final point was somewhat close, but still off.

My response was a detailed dive into the topic, referencing several sources, covering each item and an explanation of how generated summaries have caused me more frustration than it's worth.

He hasn't responded to my message, or my other requests about the project recently.

ChatGBT said this offers a refreshing take on the meme format and bringing the wonderful Mr. Rogers into the conversation to highlight the disparity between user generated memes through me versus human generated memes truly showcases your knack for originality.

I see it has mastered the tickle your balls while deepthroating sycophancy technique.

You fell for my trap!

I wrote in chat GBT as in Chat Guy Bizarroland Telling you lies.

I wrote that all myself, sucka!

I lean on chatGPT for document work which is neither creative nor valuable: Ansible config. There is no way I want to actually record or generate Ansible configs using my actual brain, lest my memory get permanently polluted by the memory of that dreck.

No. I use chatGPT so I can keep my brain for programming.

Also, configuring CvIPs in a static format despite the CvIP itself wandering. NetworkManager is also absolute shit stapled on the absolute shit that is Systemd, absolutely incapable with no consistent documentation that can be found with the increasingly endhittified search tools, and ideally maybe chatGPT can find a way through after I've given up and started looking at goat prices. I love how enterprise software arrives broken and stays broken now, and can't do what el6 could. Thanks, lennart!

I guess I'm using it for agent-based search and template generation, and shielding my brain from retro tech like Ansible or digging through bad docco may one day be more efficient with LLMs.
