DHH is the Fox News of Ruby. He's noisy, he's reactionary, he's anti-intellectual, he's very sure he's right and he enjoys being rude.
I loved (and still kind of love) Ruby but I’ve always thought “DHH” was a loudmouth wealthy douche.
I’m glad to have always been unapologetically vocal about that.
Yeaaaah sorry but I'm not going to watch a 47 Minute essay about a super problematic individual thats an arsehole and outright PoS albeit his involvement in Ruby on Rails, Hyperland and Omarchy (which is just DHHs dotfiles).
I knew some of the things DHH said, but didn't have a fuller picture. Some of us aren't always up to speed om the latest ultra-conservative racist out there.
This was in the background at 1.5x speed while writing Rust and the script can be read if watching is too taxing.
