A new update has hit the Epic Games Store, and it finally allows users to gift games directly to friends, much like other stores on PC.

And they wonder why Steam has all the users....

Does it have a shopping cart yet?

Wait! There are real epic game store users?? Not just people like me who just grab the free games?

[–] tigeruppercut@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago

I think I bought maybe 1 or 2 games on sale in the years and years of free games I've claimed... does that mean epic marketing succeeded with me?

Epic slowly catching up to the steam of 20 years ago

Well, it's a lot easier to call Steam a monopoly and complain about unfair competition than it is to try to implement the same features and actually compete.

This. Corporate public traded company CEOs criticizing Valve as a monopoly when they alone made PC gaming the best platform ever to play games is freaking ridiculous. In exchange for our money, Valve gave us more than anyone else. The return we get is far greater than with any other gaming company.

Praise the GabeN & GOG.
