We now all live in a recursive loop.

[–] noride@lemmy.zip 25 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You say that every. single. time.

We now all live in a recursive loop.

So what is it?

[–] Klear@quokk.au 4 points 1 week ago

Sadly no termination condition.

Google being that guy in the comments saying "just Google it bro" instead of just giving you the answer lol

I've noticed that the AI answers on Google have become more and more like this in the last weeks. It usually just tells me how to find something. That said, I don't use Google as my main search engine anymore. I've used DuckDuckGo for over a year. It's... Fine.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@piefed.world 24 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I just ask random people on the street until I get an answer back that aligns with my preconceived notions.

[–] ObviouslyNotBanana@piefed.world 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I don't like this internet tbh. I feel like there's less to be learned.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@piefed.world 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

When you say this internet are you referring to this internet we're currently communicating on, the way that you search on this internet with duck duck go or me asking random people until I find the answer to what I'm looking for?

[–] ObviouslyNotBanana@piefed.world 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I mean this part of the internet we're currently communicating on is fine but the "explorable internet" sucks. Asking random people is the reasonable thing to do when no one will give you the answer that validates your feelings.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@piefed.world 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You lost me.

Duck duck go or random people?

[–] ObviouslyNotBanana@piefed.world 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Now I'm lost, better ask DuckDuckGo or random people...

i ask DDG about random people and it referred me to a site called puggle

[–] derpgon@programming.dev 3 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Kagi gang here. For whoever debating of it is worth the price - go for it. Worst thing that can happen is you lost like $5. Or, for tech savvy people, go for SearXNG.

Seems good, I'll look into it

If you only try it out for less than a month, $5.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

yeah the only search engines i subscribe to are trade specific [edit: and that's because it gives me access to opinions with expertise beyond my own] . what trade does kagi specialize in

[–] derpgon@programming.dev 1 points 1 week ago

Then it is probably not for you. It specializes in "general" trade.

[–] Grostleton@lemmy.dbzer0.com 22 points 1 week ago

Worth every drop of water

[–] r00ty@kbin.life 11 points 1 week ago

Thanks AI. Remind me how many megawatt hours your model consumed to create?

[–] Emotional_Engi@lemmy.zip 8 points 1 week ago

@Grok is this real?

[–] sentient_loom@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 week ago

This is my favorite one yet

[–] caboose2006@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Ah yes, the ouroboros is complete.

[–] WhatGodIsMadeOf@feddit.org 4 points 1 week ago

Pretty soon it's going to just link to Google.
