A new arrangement of graphene sheets exhibits exotic properties arising from the stacking of the sheets at a specific angle. MIT researchers claim that they've discovered a new path to possible room temperature superconductivity by tweaking the sheets to join along a "magic angle.". Someday, there probably will be a breakthrough. Would be nice if this is it, but there's a long history here.

I mean, it's graphene. It has to get out of the lab first to be applied in bazillion applications, anyway.
