Welcome to /c/tumblr, a place for all your tumblr screenshots and news.

Our Rules:

  1. Keep it civil. We're all people here. Be respectful to one another.

  2. No sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia or any other flavor of bigotry. I should not need to explain this one.

  3. Must be tumblr related. This one is kind of a given.

  4. Try not to repost anything posted within the past month. Beyond that, go for it. Not everyone is on every site all the time.

  5. No unnecessary negativity. Just because you don't like a thing doesn't mean that you need to spend the entire comment section complaining about said thing. Just downvote and move on.

Thank you I was struggling with the exact same confusion until I saw this.

I too was wondering if the ntfs of today is the same as the ntfs of yesteryear

Shit. I misread it and it was SO much better. Dangit. Stupid brain.

They were so correct about falling into irrelevance that the reference failed due to improper capitalization.

Even if the AI bubble were to finally collapse tomorrow, I don't think that ChatGPT, let alone any other paid LLM, will die out so quickly. They definitely won't be free anymore, and your workplace might not feel like cramming it into every crevice when they're priced at what they actually cost, but I'm sure that desperate students and/or AI bros will still keep paying the subscription for their botshit.

Yeah, LLMs aren't going anywhere even if the bubble pops. Many of the companies will die, and self hosted models will stick around. The core technology of machine learning has many great uses, so LLMs will always be there in some capacity

Good grief an LLM filesystem would be horrifying. On made by Microsoft would be.... Somehow worse.
