There does seem to be a revival in the last few years.
I used to play a lot of RTS back in the day, but these days it's mostly StarCraft 2 and that too, mostly Arcade/Use Map Settings.
For discussions about all real-time strategy games. Everyone is welcome, Starcraft, Age of Empires, Stormgate, etc.

Yeah, between the huge range of games getting DEs (the entire Age franchise, some Stronghold games), long-lasting franchises getting new entries (Age, Company of Heroes), fan support for older games (BFME2's enormous Age of the Ring expansion) and an astonishing array of brand new entries to the genre at a range of budgets (including most of your own submissions to this Community), it really does feel like we're in a renaissance of the genre.
