Earbuds.
I recently took up running, and when I did that I decided I was just going to wear my smartwatch and earbuds. I leave my phone in the house, I leave my keys in the garage (there's a keypad on the garage door), I don't even take the case for the earbuds.
When I go out for any reason other than running, I always take my phone, wallet, keys, earbuds, chapstick, a pen, and nail clippers. (I don't know why on that last one, but I've had a pair for my whole adult life, except when traveling by plane, and they come in handy a lot). I usually also wear my watch, but sometimes I forget to charge it and it has to stay on the charger.
So the only common item in those two lists is the earbuds.
In the vein of your positive attitude, I also try to always take with me a realization that everyone else is fighting a battle, too.
Not sure what kind of watch and phone you have, but I just discovered that I can charge my watch from my phone using the wireless charging capability of the phone. I've owned both for 4 years now. (Both Samsung)
Huh, that's handy. Mine are both Pixels, and alas the Pixel watch has a magnetic but not wireless charger.
One for every pocket of my trousers so if something is missing I always notice on time
Keys, I want to get back in eventually.
Everything else depends on where I'm going.
Found the protester who knows about how to actually protest.
The last one is specifically mentioned because I don't generally wear it at home, I become way too aware of it in my hand and it starts irritating.
For same reason if I'm about to leave the house without it, I become very aware of something missing and "feeling naked" without it.
If I'm going cycling, I usually leave wallet home and instead just grab bank card and ID card with me in fannypack with the rest items mentioned.
Nothing. Every single item is dependent of what I am doing.
If I go for a walk, the only thing I will bring with me is my dog and a leash (maybe some dog treats.)
… yes that's literally it !
It depends on what we're doing and where we're going. If it's something quick or I'm going to be busy while I'm there, then I'll just take a pair of headphones and two of my android devices, one to listen to music on the way there and back, and another to play games while I'm there if I can. If we're going to be gone for a while, I'll take all of my android devices, my controller, a keyboard and mouse, my tablet stand, and some USB cables and adapters. I would take some other devices, but for right now, android devices are the only portable devices I have that I actively use.
I always do the pat check to make sure I have my wallet, phone, and dick
Spectacles, testicles, wallet and watch
Wallet, buck knife, mini tape measure. Utter cynicism.
My purse has all sorts of things in it. The most useful are the pen light, stubby multi-bit driver, utility knife, and multi-bit electronics driver. That with chargers, and usb cables (A, C, and micro).
Of course that is in addition to what one would typically find in a ladies’ purse. I also have my nicotine products in there.
Every few weeks I sort through what is in there. It’s too bad that it is not really socially acceptable for cishet guys to have a European carry-all.
Phone, wallet, paper tissues
keys, wallet, bookbag containing medication, e-bike charger, tools to fix flat bike tire, steam deck, phone, and bluetooth earbuds.
Phone, car keys, bluetooth earbuds, snus. And the jacket I wear almost everytime I leave the house contains: card holder, a multi-tool, misc markers, a USB stick, and a pen.
Spectacles Testicles Wallet Phone
Wallet, keys, phone, pocket knife, smile.
Phone, Wallet, keys, pen, watch, Leatherman.
For anything more than a short walk I always grab: Water bottle (or 2), hand sanitiser, wallet, phone, and keys. I don't like being thirsty.
My list is exactly the same as yours! Phone, wallet, keys, airpods, and leatherman
Keys, wallet, phone, pick set (licensed locksmith and it comes in handy), pocket knife. Usually leave the last 2 at home if I am planning on going to anything with security checks.
Steam Deck (I am pretty anxious when many people are in the subway - playing keeps my stress level down)
BRUH, I'd worry about people stealing it. Couldn't even concentrate on whatever game it is.
Since street crime rates in Vienna are very very low - and i don't look like an easy target - i am not anxious about that at least lol
Glasses, keys, wallet, phone.
Phone, keys, wallet, testicles, spectacles
Phone, wallet. Keys if I need to drive. YubiKey if it makes sense.
