Been jamming out to Korn lately. Never appreciated Life is Peachy until recently.
90s Music
From Grunge to Gangsta Rap and everything in between! Post a song and let's talk about it!
Rules
- All aspects of the LW TOS apply.
- Be constructive and don't gatekeep. Music is highly subjective, and people have different tastes.
- If the source is YouTube, use the actual YouTube URL rather than a specific Invidious/Piped link. This prevents dead links as those go on/offline or break due to Google changes while also letting people's browser plugins, Lemmy clients, etc automatically re-write YT links to their preferred instances. Feel free to put alternate links in the post body, though.
- Put the link to the song in the URL field and not the post body.
- Submissions must be from the 90s (1990 - 1999) based on either recorded or release date. e.g. if it was recorded in 1999 but released in 2000, we're not going to split hairs over that; post away. Covers made in the 90s of older music is absolutely allowed and encouraged.
Posting Guidelines / Suggestions
- The preferred title format is
Artist - Song Name [YEAR] - If a song has a particular meaning or evokes a pleasant memory for you, feel free to share your story with it.
If you have other suggestions that would help grow the community and/or foster discussion, please feel free to share.

Right! It wasn't something I was super into then besides what I heard on the radio. After giving it another listen a few years later they're pretty great all around.
If you ever wondered what that sounds like in Spanish...

It starts at 1:12 if the cue in the URL doesn't work.

Man sometimes I feel like the internet is an absolute garbage pit and then I come across treasure like this. Thank you for sharing!
You're welcome! I actually support that guy on Patreon. He's got almost the exact same taste in music as I do and covers them all in Spanish. It's like hearing the music I grew up with for the first time all over again.
https://youtu.be/cuy0ZLanLao I swear of all the songs that has stuck with me over the years I will fight you that this is the best version.

I remember hearing this on the radio and thinking wow, this is definitely different, and I like it. It signalled a big change in "rock" music for me.
This reminds me of playing Audition Online back in the day and playing... "Evolution" I think? On repeat. I don't remember if that's the name of the song, now I gotta look it up.
