Oh God, it looks like the BoTW motorcycle and empty world. Nintendo really needs to dial back open worlds and make them much smaller. I've been less than impressed with their 2017+ 3D open world games.

Yeah, I've been tired of open worlds and Nintendo seems to be like a decade behind the industry and just fully getting into them now. I lose a ton of interest when like any game announces its open world now but especially metroid. That's like completely counter to what I enjoy about the series :(

This looks... Bad. Maybe it's just me.
It's not showing a lot to be excited about. Maybe there is a lot to be excited about, but not in this trailer.
The part of metroid games I enjoy is the interconnected world andexploring and understanding that. This sort of open area completely works against that and killed all my excitement

Lotsa dooming around here, can't say I'm surprised. Anyone who's played Prime 3 would know how bad things can get for "world layout" (as in, it has none), this has the potential to be an interesting addition and improvement.
