Sometimes I call them salt and pepper. They are a funny pair, though they are rarely this affectionate anymore. Henry is more than twice her size, but she's the one always starting shit for some reason.

Massive love for the torties 🖤

There is definitely something about them! I didn't even know what a tortie was til we took her to the vet the first time. I just thought she looked real cute at the humane society.

Sorry the picture got cropped so much and doesn't show up on the post ... Not sure how to fix that.

They're very cute. It looks like you embedded the image into the body text of the post instead of putting the image url in the link field.

Thanks, I just assumed that's where an image should go. I think I fixed it.

It's a great place to put additional images.

Daisy, Daisy! Give me your answer, do! I'm half-crazy, all for the love of you! 🎶

I think I read somewhere males are more affectionate cats. I'm not sure if that's true, but my female kitten is surely the trouble maker among my fur babies. The male is old and just wants to be left alone or go for rides and walks.

Yeah they are both getting close to the double digit mark. Henry is a year older and is definitely in his old cat phase of just wanting to sit in the tower all day, only coming down for meals or belly rubs. He is way more friendly to strangers too.

Wait is the grayish one a tortie? I thought they had to have a black base?? I had a cat who looked like her as a child and I always just said she was gray, but she may have been a tortie lol.

[–] cannon_annon88@lemmy.today 1 points 3 months ago

Yeah I don't think they need to have a black base to be a tortie, as far as I know. I never had pets growing up and these are my first two fur babies, so I'm not an expert.

But they definitely seem to have a unique temperament compared to other cats I have met. At least this one, lol.
