The book leans pretty heavy into it. Thing is, that means they were both replicants, and the miracle is that much more. Idk man, I'm torn.

Didn't 2049 say less about this aspect than the Director's cut?

I honestly don't remember, I've seen the original three times since I last saw 2049, lol. Although, that's just because I didn't enjoy it as much.
