[Feature Request] Preview (peek) media posts by pressing and holding, then closing upon releasing (lemmy.world)

As a user coming from Sync, Summit has been great so far. One thing I'm missing is when peeking media posts (Sync terminology), I'm used to pressing on the media and having it come up as an overlay. When I release, it closes.

Unless I'm missing something, the current media preview functionality in Summit loads the media into a new window after a long press, with options for sharing, etc., underneath. And I have to hit Back to return to my feed.

I would love an option where I can use press and hold with overlayed media instead, that will just go away once I'm done viewing by releasing my finger.

Edit: Didn't realize it hasn't hit the play store yet. It might take a few hours.
