Too true. Our ape relatives live lives of simplicity by comparison without the unnecessary systems of oppression and control. They live in the moment and have community. They die and move on with no fanfare. Never once have they heard of wills, taxes, culture war or paid time off.

Sure, but living in nature isn't this happy go lucky life of leisure. You're constantly exposed to the elements, threats from predators/competitors, spend most of your day looking for food. Also apes who live in communities do have social expectations and hierarchies.
Living outside of nature isn't happy to lucky either... Unless of course you command the made up currency to have your needs, all commodified up, met.

And? Nature is brutal and dangerous. As bad as women have it today it is one of the best times in history for them.
