I should switch this new desktop back to linux. Need to figure out what's the best distribution. Used mint on the old desktop, but on this one for some reason hdmi, ethernet, and wifi didn't work out of the box and I gave up after a couple hours.

edit: It'd be used for gaming and also some software development (mostly python and js, and docker)

I like endeavourOS.
Been using it about a year, and the only issue I had was whent windows (fast boot) messed with the efi/boot partition.

Based on Arch, rolling releases, KDE Plasma, and it's - quite frankly - really nice

No, I didn't see one when I installed - think you are correct. Myself I'm an Ubuntu man for my gaming laptop but I prefer not to say because of the haters.

I'm on Garuda Dr460onized right now and loving it. There's even a gaming version which has things like Steam and Heroic preinstalled.

Bazzite being an immutable OS wasn't really what I was looking for.

I'm astounded at all the distros I've never even heard of and yours takes the top prize. Also didn't even know it was immutable but for a gaming only device that fits my bill for the two pc's I've put it on.
