I’ve been away from Lemmy for a while and it seems like this community has jus become a place to (mostly) post news articles.

On one hand, I’m happy to see some activity but on the other, I’d other content as well. And yes, I know I can help contribute to that.

I’m less likely to comment about news for some reason. I often feel like I’m about to state the obvious each time (“that’s good to hear” / “that’s terrible news”). I’m far more likely to engage with personal posts like yours here.

I’m glad it’s not just me. There might be the rare occasion where something sparks a debate but that’s far and few between

Maybe it is. But I believe Éire is more than just a newsfeed, obviously. It's so beautiful and pittoresque.
