The Fen Raft Spider is roughly the size of an adult male’s hand, and can spin webs as big as pizzas (25cm).

They are also semi-aquatic and can run across the water’s surface to capture their prey.

Two spider pictures in the article, but neither depict a Fen Raft Spider. Shameful excuse for journalism.

reintroducing wolves and bears is too radical, but fecking giant spiders is okay?

Wolves are for level 5 and bears are level 10. We have to start with the giant spiders first or the level 1 noobs won't stand a chance.

Now go and collect 10 bundles of silk thread. Killing 273 spiders should do it. Drop isn't guaranteed.

If they're calling 25cm the size of a pizza... I'm doubting the rest. Size of an adult male's hand? I'm small, and being generous, the width of my palm is 90cm.

from Wiki:

Adult females can have bodies of slightly over 20mm in length with a span of 70mm including their legs.

That's the size of the largest banana spiders I've seen. In FLORIDA.

Your palm is nearly a meter wide?!

Incredible palm game.
