Video: Macklemore's new song critical of Trump and Musk is facing heavy censorship across major platforms.

MODERATORS

The Supreme Court on Friday allowed members of the Trump administration's Department of Government Efficiency to access Social Security Administration data.

The conservative-majority court, with its three liberal justices objecting, granted an emergency application filed by the Trump administration asking the justices to lift an injunction issued by a federal judge in Maryland.

The unsigned order said that members of the DOGE team assigned to the Social Security Administration should have "access to the agency records in question in order for those members to do their work."

The lawsuit challenging DOGE’s actions was filed by progressive group Democracy Forward on behalf of two unions — the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, and the American Federation of Teachers — as well as the Alliance for Retired Americans.

I guess they forgot to check twitter before they allowed this

This is why there's a fake fight between Trump and Musk. It's to distract you from the fact that DOGE is stealing your information and to drive traffic to their respective social media sites. You've been conned...again.

I really don't think this was a fake fight. Calling trump a pedo and there's proof just isn't something you con with. IMO, it was a real fight that the SCOTUS took advantage of. Normally, I would agree with you, but this one, the threats were too big and had too big of ramifications. Bannon yelling to deport Elon isn't cool either. This wasn't a light slap fight, they were getting real hits in there.

If this is your bar, it is rather low. Even MAGA knows Trump knew Epstein just like they know he probably had sex with prostitutes. The only people who care already know.

If Trump's threats manifest, that will be another matter entirely. So far, only words with only publicly known information. Both parties could have done much worse to incriminate the other.

Bannon is a Russian shill, Trump is getting propped from and making concessions to the Heritage Foundation, billionaires, and anyone interested overseas. Musk needs a facelift and still holds influence with the DOGE team as the one who created it.

These weren't prostitutes but underage minors. This is rape we're talking about.

He had sex with prostitutes as well. Forgot about Stormy Daniels?

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 1 points 18 minutes ago

I'm not going to fight with you over whether Stormy was a prostitute or not, which is irrelevant.

He is pretty likely to be a pedo, which is what Elon was saying:

You're saying that like doge didn't already steal the data

[–] NotAGamer@lemmy.org 1 points 4 hours ago

The courts just told them it was legal. But no media is reporting that. They're busy with the infighting. It's a distraction and it's working.

No hell it isn't. What we have here is two extremely powerful narcissists, very predictably, and predicted, having a feud.

GOP Congressmen are shitting bricks thinking this will distract from passing their Big Beautiful Bill™. This whole thing is poison to the right-wing.

"The fascists are doing $evil_shit! This is nothing but a distraction!"

Is it Friday already?

[–] QueenHawlSera@sh.itjust.works 2 points 13 hours ago

Reminder: The Big Beautiful Bill makes it illegal to legislate restrictions for AI and more importantly it bans transgender healthcare

[–] AMillionNames@sh.itjust.works 2 points 15 hours ago

They are transactional narcissists who think the rest of the population is full of marks. Even if it's not an act, it will act as a loyalty test, a distraction, and an attempt for Musk to whitewash, and the clash will likely not last long. Both Trump and Musk are in full alignment about what DOGE is doing, and DOGE's people are basically Musk appointees. Whether the feud is real doesn't even matter.

100% this, although I do agree with that comment from entwine413. I feel that this spat was real in the battle of the egos; however, this entire timeline of crazy was clearly an easy distraction from the mass data given to Palantir - this is worse on a nuclear level than citizens united was in the sense of population surveillance and control.

I don't know why I looked at this thumbnail and thought "What's with the large pasta extruder in the background?"

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 2 points 15 hours ago

It does kind of look like that. But no, those are golden drapes that are super "classy."
