Extending a series that is supposed to be one-and-done usually doesn’t end up well, so I hope they manage to pull it off.

I don't know whaly every one keeps saying that there was only one book. Clavell wrote 6 books that all have these same characters in it.

What? I thought the rest of the 'Asia saga' was rather loosely connected and nothing was a direct sequel to shogun

Alright. I looked into it much deeper. There's character development between some of the books, and they all come back in Noble House. But the Shogun book literally ends with a big cliffhanger, all the build up to a war....and then nothing. 😆

That's good, even if the first book kinda just stop there, I think it is worth it showing the ascension to Shogun proper.
