Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Proper headline:

“Drug Addict Desperately Lies in Bid to Save Companies His Actions Destroyed”

[–] Emergency3030@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

Exactly 💯 correct. He's trying to save his business a.s.s

[–] jyl@sopuli.xyz 34 points 2 days ago

I guess this kind of people can't get along too well.

[–] selkiesidhe@lemm.ee 31 points 2 days ago

Whatever, clown. The Nazi is out of the bag now. No matter what you say or do, we know you are absolute dogshit.

Go fuck off, do your drugs, and slip in your uncontrolled piss... Maybe you'll jog a braincell.

[–] RedditIsDeddit@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

Never trust a Republican

[–] LadyButterfly@lazysoci.al 3 points 1 day ago

I fucking knew they'd fall out they're both horrible people. They were always gonna knife each other

[–] __nobodynowhere@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

I don't buy it for a second. He doesn't like being sidelined. He didn't give a shit about the bill or anybody but himself. Eat piss Nazi fuck.

[–] peoplebeproblems@midwest.social 16 points 2 days ago (2 children)

So Nazi facing rich people consequences that no one can actually sympathize with gets angry at Nazi with power behind him?

In Nazi Germany, that usually led to the former being disappeared by the latter. I don't expect that to happen, but it would be exciting to see.

[–] DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social 12 points 2 days ago

Behind the Bastards did a series on one of the oligarchs behind the rise of the Nazis who got sidelined after they got power.

Sadly it didn't end with his execution but so few of them do.

Maybe it will make the US stop importating white South Africans.

[–] solsangraal@lemmy.zip 23 points 2 days ago (1 children)

i honestly don't know who i'd put money on in a fight between them. i mean trump would lose to a quadraplegic canned ham, but musk is apparently too fucking high to do anything anyway. i would just bet that there'd be a lot of pattycake-style slapping going on

[–] alanjaow@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago (1 children)

You forget that Musk has watched, like, a ton of karate movies. He could beat up a black belt, just, ya know, in his dreams

[–] TheOgreChef@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago

Well, his mommy also told him he couldn’t fight, so there’s that too.

[–] BoycottPro@lemm.ee 19 points 2 days ago

This is proof right here that Musk has not stepped away. More pressure against Musk! Boycott Twitter, boycott Tesla, boycott Starlink, buy stocks in SpaceX's competitors. Keep boycotting until he's bankrupt.

[–] Notserious@lemmy.ca 13 points 2 days ago (2 children)

He could have been Tony stark of the clean energy world. He has the money to change things and this is what he choose.

[–] Mustakrakish@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He grew up the grandson of a Nazi and the son of a slaveholder, and he's done nothing to swing the other way, there was no chance for him

[–] PalmTreeIsBestTree@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Straight up. His family are all pieces of shit and he was raised to be a piece of shit.

[–] Lasherz12@lemmy.world 11 points 2 days ago

I dunno, Tony Stark was smart with demonstrated engineering talent. Elon has been misunderstanding the laws of physics, mostly entropy, for his entire career as something other than a paypal lottery winner.

[–] Wytch@lemmy.zip 16 points 2 days ago (2 children)

The falling out, you love to see it

[–] BlemboTheThird@lemmy.ca 10 points 2 days ago

this isn't a falling out. i swear there's been an article once a week since january pretending This Is IT between the richest man in the world and one of the most corrupt, but turns out, they have a lot to offer each other. they're talking a bunch of bullshit like they always do and news outlets are reporting their meaningless words uncritically like they always do.

wake me up when spacex loses funding.

[–] lemmy_outta_here@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Yup. Now Trump will blame Musk for anything that went wrong in the last 5 months - including the fallout from musk’s random vandalism of government agencies.

I wonder when Musk will realize that he is probably going to die in a Salvadoran prison.

[–] MegaUltraChicken@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago

I wonder when Musk will realize that he is probably going to die in a Salvadoran prison.

Hey, some of us are working. Let's keep the boner material to a minimum.

[–] Donjuanme@lemmy.world 13 points 2 days ago

It must not contain enough kick backs for him

[–] 0000011110110111i@lemm.ee 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

This is a fight that musk can never win. Nobody is more powerful than the government. The govt can investigate you and we can be pretty much guarantee that there’s plenty to find on musk. Vindictive little taco is going to bring the full weight of the govt to bear on musk.

[–] YiddishMcSquidish@lemmy.today 6 points 2 days ago

Don't tempt me with a good time!

[–] Xanthobilly@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago

Takes an abomination to know an abomination.

[–] VirgilMastercard@reddthat.com 3 points 2 days ago

Very cool Elon, you're still a cunt

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 2 points 2 days ago

You're still a cunt, Elon.

[–] wanderwisley@lemm.ee 2 points 2 days ago

This is gonna be like King Kong vs Godzilla, only dumber.

Well, he’s more consistent than I expected.

[–] ceenote@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Showing that, now, even republicans don't care what he says.

[–] crystalmerchant@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

Oh look the rich oligarchs are fighting now
