Well, I guess I'll be disabling my Telegram account finally. The only thing left that I was doing on it was automatic notifications from the services on my home NAS. Not sure what I'll do instead. Maybe Matrix?
Signal or XMPP not an option?
Not many services support those for notifications in my experience.
Unfortunately telegram bot API is very good.
If you're alright with a one-off fee there's always Pushover. I'd been using it for notifications like this. There's also Discord, if need be just create a server for you and the bot.
Discord is allegedly going for an IPO this year.
How did you hook those things up using Telegram?
