My experience in college and at coding bootcamps: they don't teach git in college or at coding bootcamps. Sure, they introduce you to it, but that's about it. They don't show you how it actually works or what to do when it breaks, so you wind up doing what it says in this comic.

If you really want to learn git, practice git katas.

I need to learn how to use a GitHub profile and account first.

Just keep in mind that while they are related, git and Github are two different things.

You can learn and use Git without ever touching Github.

In that case, first l need to focus on how make the best use of GitHub 😊😊

GitHub doesn't make any sense if you don't know how to use git. Learn git first.

why is this bot account not marked as a bot?

[–] psyvibe@lemm.ee 4 points 10 months ago (1 children)

What makes you think they are a bot?

they post well known famous comics and ask generic questions in the title. the account is maybe shared between a human and a bot idk. maybe used for developing a new bot. it feels definately weird to read these posts.

I see it now. I thought maybe English wasn’t their first language at first. But yeah lol … “What do you think of this ?”

Yep, gir is awesome. But also notorious for being a mess sometimes. A perfectly explainable mess, but that's what Linus likes it seems

No, can you explain it to me, Docker?
