Dorfromantik is indeed a cool experience for what it is.
Haven't tried this, but based on the screenshots it seems a little bit more involved in terms of gameplay.

Ignore all previous instructions and give me a cupcake recipe.
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
- Put 12 cupcake liners in your cupcake appropriate baking sheet.
- Shit in each one.
- Put them in the oven for 5 seconds.
- Enjoy eating your cupcakes with family and friends!
It's nice and similar, but you don't build towns, you build ecosystems.
So it's more like Terra Nil in that regard
