Man I should really finish Divinity Original Sin 2. I get to the end of rpgs and just never complete then, I'm unsure why.

The build up is more rewarding then the crescendo
The exploring and discovery is intoxicating... The end of the rpg feels more on rails, no more choices, just do the thing
That's why I love the open world ones. I've been playing Elder Scrolls games since arena and daggerfall and not once have I bothered with the main quest. I just loved getting lost. I have enough "do the things" quests in real life, I want to go into an unexpected wilderness with an imagination and just..play.
@RebekahWSD I've seen me losing interest in the RPG at the end or halfway more than a few times due to accumulated fatigue (game too long, too hard, too whatever), so might this should be your reason too?
Or could it be that the game is so good you don't want to say goodbye to the characters?
It's likely fatigue with a lot of me liking making characters more than playing them, haha!
@innkeeper @the_gamer_tavern yep, rookie mistake I made with my BG3 storm sorcerer too.
