I actually feel gutted for Laca and crew at Lyon.

I know... how do you lose to that United team? They lost to pure vibes.

Harry Maguire has some sort of protection of the football gods

I think that's why United fans love him so - he's got the clutch factor.

Rewatching the highlights of the two Madrid games. Getting that giddy feeling where your legs shake a little bit and you've got a big grin on your face.

Beautiful stuff!

I was watching a replay of the second FK at the airport bar and my wife caught me crying openly. Who the fuck needs children when you have Hale End? :')

children? in this economy?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

True, they'd probably be demanding 400k a week

I want to know how Mikel Arteta managed to feature on the cover of a Blade Runner video game from 1997.

I would like Bodø to absolutely demolish Spurs

They definitely have an advantage at their turf....winning in the Arctic circle isn't for everyone.

I remember sitting on pins and needles during our away match against them in Europa, luckily we eeked out a win and noped the eff out

I'm almost out of Arsenal shirts. I've been wearing them almost non-stop for 2 weeks now.

Course I do. But I was on vacation until Tuesday, so my supply was running dangerously low. I'm wearing the Monsters, Inc. shirt today, ffs

Oh also, I bought some black iron-on patches and ironed it over the "Visit Rwanda" sleeve. In case anyone is (like me) looking for ways to vent their rage on the world right now.

Has anyone started the new season of Doctor Who yet? Is the first episode at least enjoyable tv?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago

As an aside, I find it so funny that our community is basically also the Doctor who community on here

The Robot Revolution was good! A little bit camp, little bit on the nose

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

Ok I'll watch it after F1 qualifying today then lol

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

No, I was rewatching it with some mates. Plan was to watch everything with them up to the newer seasons. But, life stuff and scheduling caused a big pause and I don't know if we will continue.

My plan is to catch up when I get back to Australia.

Yeah I haven't started it either because of work and other things to watch. I started watching the new season of Wheel of Time and I'm also now hooked on Apothecary Diaries (hilarious anime btw)...then Andor is next week.

I'll probably end up waiting until all episodes are released at this rate.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I've not heard of Wheel of Time, what's it like?

I'm very much looking forward to Andor. If it's weekly, I think I'm also going to wait. I've done the same with Severence, which I still have to watch.

I enjoy anime, but it's one of those things I need to be in the mood to pay attention 😅

Based on a fantasy novel series (which I've also not heard of), but apparently deviates quite a bit from it. I got interested in it because I sat in one of their panels at comic con and decided to binge it. It's actually quite entertaining plus Daniel Henney and Rosamund Pike are absolute gems in it. Then they have my fave Meera Syal in the second season. I would give it a watch if you like fantasy, but everyone is like so horny in it 🤣

Speaking of Andor I'm glad they decided on three episodes per week release this season. I know it's like touted by the fandom as God's gift to television but it was actually painfully slow for me.
