My goal is just to have a community where people can go and see what new game news is out for the day and comment on it.

One source said on the project, “I think the goal is to capitalize on the player count of Apex dropping and them [Ubisoft higher-ups] thinking there’s room in the market for another hero Battle Royale.”
Ah yes, if I'm getting bored of Apex Legends, that means what I want is to instead join another game that is exactly like it.
I have a friend who played a TON of Apex on console, and spent nearly $1000 on it. He moved to PC gaming, and Apex promised cross platform skins soon™. They finally do it, years later, and fuck it up. He lost all his skins, his account was basically wiped of all things he spent $ on. They refuse to help him.
He'd play an Apex clone for sure, but probably not one from Ubisoft.
Anidotal, I know.
But wait, you'll be able to climb towers to unlock Ubipoints. If you grind for a year, you'll be able to redeem them for a different colored costume.
Pride and accomplishment baybeee
They learned nothing from their last few blunders, huh. They already had a battle royale called Hyperscape that flopped.
Omg the 5 pixel wide character BR? What a flop that was
Just in time to ride the hype wave. Maybe they’ll release a MOBA next.
Look, it's the new we have Apex Legends at home.
I loved XDefiant, and I used to play a lot of Apex. Hope they can succeed with it, because I'd absolutely play an Apex without any ties to EA.
