Look up local mutual aid groups like food not bombs, volunteer at your local food bank, join a Tesla Takedown or Elbows Up protest. You will find empathetic, like-minded people who want to make the world a better place.

Also, no offence, but it's kinda sus that you just joined Lemmy less than 24hrs ago and are immediately trying to identify groups involved in 50501.

Not necessarily ‘sus’ to show up here and looking for more local groups. One result of the 50501 and boycottUS and BuyCanadian movements was that a bunch of us are getting out of Reddit and other US social media platforms and come here 😉

I don’t think any of those groups has any foothold around here. Stuff like that exist in small town eastern Ontario?
