My smart scale estimates my physical age at 20 years less than my actual age. That just proves the scale is smart enough to know how to keep away from the recycling bin.

I stepped on one and it just said FAT in blinking text. Thought it's calculating something but that was already the result. Asshole scale 😅

Smart scales introduce estimations for certain stats about your body such as body fat percentage, visceral fat, water, muscle mass etc etc.

Also I can't cover all smart scales but my Xiaomi Body Composition Scale 2 is definitely HIGHLY inaccurate about most of these stats. Like somehow my muscle mass is the same despite me doing gym + dance now for 4 months now, and I clearly feel the muscle increase. Also this applies for my water percentage as well.

Same experience here, the numbers they give are utter made up bullshit. I'm not sure how my muscle mass declined when all my lifts had at least doubled in weight. They are not worth the time or the money.

I guess the dumb one just shows a number, the smart one will also tell you "it's not bones or muscles but fat, dumbass" and tell a data broker so the health insurance company can update your plan accordingly
