4 red flags. Must be some kind of a record!

Oof that was a big crash that Doohan just had

Bad for his weekend but doesn't look like driver error on the replay.

Like the other comment said it was actually entirely his fault. Because he had his foot pinned it wasn't going to automatically close the DRS. He needed to lift or manually shut the DRS before turn in and he simply didn't.

I'm glad hes alright. That's gonna be a lesson he won't soon forget. Hopefully it doesn't eat into his confidence tomorrow. He seems like an alright guy.

Wow, yeah I was surprised when the commentary on the official highlights pointed it out. So it's "bad for his weekend" (as in bad for his career, but also this weekend).

I mean mostly destroying a multi-million dollar prototype vehicle is never a good day. Especially in this cost cap era.

I thought the exact opposite. He lost the rear because he didn't close his DRS flap.

Just started watching. Saw the red flag.

Geez, hard hit for Doohan.

Conspiracy theory: Doohan set the grass on fire so that no one can have an FP2

Cursed session with 3 red flags.

4*

grass on fire again ๐Ÿ˜…

Alonso hasn't had the greatest start to the season. With 2 DNF's he's not even classified on the driver's championship listings https://www.formula1.com/en/results/2025/drivers
