Now, if you meant something more along the lines of "...fuck that, I don't want Canada to lead anything", then that's an entirely different issue.
American here. I get the sense that a lot of other countries are using Trump as a foil to distract from the fact that they aren't doing the best job themselves.
There's a wide gulf between being a better leader than Trump and being an effective leader.
If the US is ousted as the world leader then China becomes then new one.
