this should show that car based societies are kinda f***… cannot think of a solution beyond just more cars. And who profits? Car companies, still. It’s an inefficient and anti-social mode of transportation.. takes up so much space (roads, parking, highways), energy (fuel, charging), and money (road repairs, endless expansion to pay for it, car insurance, car repairs). It causes harm to thousands of people a year and kills many, results in sedentary lifestyles, and results in spread out towns and local economies. Plus zoning laws are currently fucked.
Don't forget about many other harms like microplastics,road rage,mental fatigue and much much more
