This style of captioning is horrible and should never be used for anything except as an example of how not to do captioning.
By far not the worst I've seen. I can actually read these. The worse ones are the ones that flash up one word at a time. The highlighting sucks on these, but at least there's 2-3 words at a time and they stay up long enough to read.
That said, the best subs are full phrases/sentences that stay up long enough to read.
Yeah, this isn't karaoke. We don't need the words highlighted as they're said.
