Did you try Firefox (Nightly) + uBlock Origin + Sponsor Block?
There were some issues with uBO last week, likely due to A/B testning on Youtube's part. It only lasted a couple of days though.
Even nightly doesn't seem to be necessary; I've used those for years without issue
