I don't really think she is trying to do the right thing. She was Trumps biggest ally for YEARS while he did some of the worst things, you could think of and she most likely knew about the Epstein stuff way before this and actively covered it up. She doesn't believe in anything except her own power.

I think, the reason she is doing this is because she recognized that Trump is a sinking ship and she is trying to take advantage of that for her own gain. Maybey she wants to run for president in the future or at least be the loyal companion of one. If she were to continue defending Trump for everything his admin does, she would sink with him, so she tries to get out.
