Despite Dave's claims of having deep lore knowledge, I was a little surprised he was geeking out over the NCR power armor, and didn't seem to know about the salvaged NCR power armor from FNV (or maybe he did but it's in the pay walled longer version).

I think there's a big difference between salvaged power armor as seen in FNV, which is just heavy unpowered protection and a fully functional powered suit. It shows a technological step up for the NCR.
Oh, agree. I was just surprised it wasn't mentioned. It seems like the salvaged armor would be a step in the reverse engineering process that would eventually lead to an NCR suit.
