It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions.

Literally the things that are important to you. What do you talk about with friends? Most of those topics are a good start.
This might work if your parents had you when they were very young so they're not that much older than you, maybe?
My mum does NOT care about the latest exploits of the Doctor in the Tardis or my comic or my progress working on my home server or even about Flerfers' futile attempts to make their worldview conform with reality.
Vice versa, I don't care about gardening and plant care or university level philosophy and theology or the weather.
Wow do we have the same mom?
