the power of the people in capitalism coming from their power to purchase means that people with more money inherently have more power.

it’s easy to say "stop working! stop buying stuff!" when the alternative for you isn’t immediate starvation.

100%, and that's why the people at the top want everyone on the edge of starvation.

But note: if they did starve, en masse, the system still fails.
