No, Republicans don't want a healthy population. They'll like about it to make it sound like it's Dems fault, but none of Republican policy positions actually promote health. They don't support informed eating (see RFKjr's garbage food pyramid), or affordable health care, they want people to work more and longer, they want them stressed with zero down time, drinking poisoned water and contaminated food, breathing polluted air, and vulnerable to eradicated diseases.
And paying for health insurance; come on, their lobby doesn't spend so much money on Republican donors to be forgotten about!
