Ah yes the yearly service interruptions brought to you by the superior free market.

What is wrong with a company spiking the price of electricity by 4,000%? Don't like it just switch to another company that will do the same thing. Choice is wonderful.

The last time ~~hell~~ Texas froze over Centerpoint Energy decided to socialize their losses to all of their customers, including those not in Texas. I live in MN and I had to pay for their stupidity. And what other company? Lucky you getting a choice which company fucks you over.

You second college class in MacroEcon, or an AP Macro Econ course... generally goes over how cartels are bad, and the government tends to run utilities because if they don't, you get the exact situation that Texas has.
