There are a lot of ways to prepare for an invasion. They range from the personal (stock up on food, find a safe place) to the societal (arm yourselves, prepare defenses, organize militia or resistance cells).

Nobody is denying the US would flatten Greenland but they can make governing the people impossible. Thats the point of resistance.

It's 56k people. The US doesn't need to govern shit, they would probably just deport them all if they invade.
