I'm just glad that when we finally elected Hitler, it was old, obviously psychotic Hitler and not 1936 Hitler.

Not that the next few years will be easy, but the fact that they pretty much immediately showed their hand as fascist bullies instead of dogwhistling for another 4 years and training up a protegé will make it so much easier to activate the cognitive dissonance of people who fell for that shit.

Like, there's almost no theological excuse for supporting Trump right now. I expect to see an attempt at some weird modern paganism similar to Hitler, because he is very obviously and daily going against the belief system of his base.

My thoughts exactly, well-said. They've paved the way for a much better future with their idiocy, so long as well-meaning Americans take advantage of the opportunity.
