That plus what little healthcare we have is tied to employment. If I didn’t have a family I’d be more aggressive. I do have a family and will defend them if it comes to it, but aside from protesting (didn’t do shit) and bitching at my representatives I’m out of viable ideas.

I’m open to suggestions that don’t end with me or mine dead.

Organize. Stay pissed off and motivated. Do not capitulate and stay silent.

And for fuck's sake: we all need to stop buying/paying for shit that funnels money to the fuckers. It's amazing how much we spend on crap we don't actually need and that really doesn't add to our happiness.

Stop using these asshole's products. If we're so god damn weak we can't deal with a little discomfort and inconvenience we deserve no sympathy.

little discomfort and inconvenience

I think you underestimate, or refuse to recognize your internal reasoning about level of pain that will be felt. Many of us are going to die. We have to accept that there is no correction without fundamental, and violent change. You will not have a 401k after the ball gets going.

I'm talking about the unwillingness to even take even a little action now. E.g. "I can't even be fucked to cancel subscription services, write to my representatives, or attend a protest on my time off."

I'm saying that someone who can't even bother to do the bare minimum because it's slightly uncomfortable and inconvenient deserves everything they'll get -- they're useless, pathetic cowards.
