I doubt any Venezuelans are looking forward to her as their leader. The Norwegian prize committee should rescind the award.
Nobel Peace prize has always been a joke. Just get rid of it.
Unfortunately the committee can't rescind it (by their own rules), just like she can't transfer it to Trump, but only one of those two cares about upholding truth and value.
I could see an argument that it's a very small price to pay to get Trumpkin to leave your country the fuck alone, though. I'm not super spun up on the topic, but if I could get the eye of Sauron off of me by giving a toddler a shiny medal and a piece of paper, I'd jump on that in a second
It's naive in the extreme to assume a trinket will get him off Venezuela's oil.
Maybe? I guess it depends on which of his handlers wins out. Greenland is big in what's left of his mind, and he's got a warm fuzzy feeling right now towards Venezuela.
This is my take. It’s a desperate attempt to protect her people.
