Yeah but it's not the general public that votes in that, it's CPC members. There's probably enough terminally online CPC members that are completely unaware that basically anyone else likely would've won the last election, or at least less likely to hand the Liberals a majority by being so obnoxious to make Conservative MPs cross the floor.
