Yeah this would just short the battery and the metal would heat up.
Might get a small spark when you close the gap between the conductors and that spark, despite not jumping to skin, might be enough to cause some sort of sensation?
Do we have some volunteers to test this?
the metal would heat up very fast and very hot. definitely serious burn territory if you make contact more than like a second long, maybe sooner. a 9 volt gives enough juice to burn the clay in pencil lead graphite and make thin metal wires glow red.
I've done estim on my nipple piercings, you're right, though I don't feel like looking up the resistance of 14G medical stainless steel or the heat loss from resistance from a 9v battery. All I can say is that at violet wand I and v it doesn't heat up much
