Technically he was also leading a progressive movement challenging the conservative views and traditional values of the time.

He was conservative enough to mention that we pay our taxes, even though his Dad is always short on cash, despite the fact he decorates a lot of his houses with gold. It strikes me that God is not great with fiscal management.
