Ask Lemmy
A Fediverse community for open-ended, thought provoking questions
Rules: (interactive)
1) Be nice and; have fun
Doxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, and toxicity are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them
2) All posts must end with a '?'
This is sort of like Jeopardy. Please phrase all post titles in the form of a proper question ending with ?
3) No spam
Please do not flood the community with nonsense. Actual suspected spammers will be banned on site. No astroturfing.
4) NSFW is okay, within reason
Just remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either !asklemmyafterdark@lemmy.world or !asklemmynsfw@lemmynsfw.com.
NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].
5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions.
If you have any questions regarding the site itself or would like to report a community, please direct them to Lemmy.world Support or email info@lemmy.world. For other questions check our partnered communities list, or use the search function.
6) No US Politics.
Please don't post about current US Politics. If you need to do this, try !politicaldiscussion@lemmy.world or !askusa@discuss.online
Reminder: The terms of service apply here too.

I'm pretty sure I am Lemmy's most commentest user.
I ran this query on my Lemmy db:
and got back the following:
though this stat is only since my instance's creation. Maybe someone with an older instance should run this query to get a better insight.
I gotta work harder to beat the AI. And FlyingSquid unless he was also an AI... π€
pretty sure he wasn't, kinda insane he's still at the top with how long he's been gone...
Does anyone know why he left?
Mental health and he moved to a different country, IIRC.
Youβre on there twice thatβs fucking hilarious.
I recognize a lot of these names, which only tells me I'm too, chronically online.
Or that Lemmy is small :P
I have mixed feelings about not being on the list.
My Lemmy.world account has more and flying squid had about five times that.
Mine would be 3 or 4 times more if I could have combined it with my original Yiffit account and my World account, both of which are older than this one.
Also: Since when is 13k higher than 15k?
15k? I saw like 9.9!
Plus if we combined accounts UM would have you beat by a hundred times over.
Federation hiccups?
UniversalMonk doesn't count for 2 reasons:
It's all pretty much just spam
Most people probably block the tool.
How much time do you spend commenting in hexbear and lemmygrad?
I look forward to and savor your comments and now youβre telling me I have to catch up on over six thousand of them?
Zero. I have both of those blocked, and they're also defederated from Pawb.Social.
Iβm impressed I always had you pegged as a closeted commie.
I'm an straight up anarchist. Like... A real one, not the cosplay authoritarian kind or the kind that thinks it just means pure chaos.
Wouldn't those be non-anarchists?
Do you maybe want to cosplay an authoritarian kind of anarchist with me?
Iβll dress up like a bee.
You are known as "the furry user" in my mind xD
Very memorable
Thank you for your service, I often worry that I'm too active here but seeing other people who comment more is reassuring
I get worried when I see you in posts after posts, where I also comment in, and I'm like 'he's gonna think I'm stalking him'.
The fact that you are just constantly online makes me feel a little better :p
Nah, don't worry, you don't act like a stalker.
Haha such a silly thought that you are stalking me.
It's the other way around. π
Iβm not stalking you also, but my Lemmy client tells me I have voted your comments at a total of +156
Which?
Voyager! The best Iβve tried for sure.
